What we treat

HYROX Injuries

HYROX stacks running on top of sleds, lunges, wall balls and carries. Compromised running exposes any gap in strength or mechanics fast.

What we see

  • Knee pain from lunges and wall balls
  • Low back pain from sleds and carries
  • Calf and Achilles strain
  • Shoulder pain from ski and row

How we treat it

We train the stations and the running between them, and test the strength you need to hold form when you're fatigued.

Every visit follows the PRO Method: where you started, where you are now, and where we're going next. You see your progress in numbers, not just in how it feels.

★★★★★

Had knee issues and Taylor figured out the root cause, strengthened weak areas. He's my go-to for any issues.

The single-leg calf raise test.

Stand on one leg on a step, heel hanging off. Rise all the way up and lower all the way down, about one rep per second, until you can't. Light fingertip support on a wall is fine. Then switch legs.

  • Under 25 reps on a side: your calf is likely part of the problem
  • More than 10% difference side to side: worth a closer look

A screening drill, not a diagnosis. Stop if it causes sharp pain.

Right calf is under 25 and 30% weaker than the left. That pattern sits behind a lot of shin, Achilles and knee problems.
